" To see a world in a grain of sand,
and heaven in a wild flower...hold
infinity in the palm of your hand,
eternity in an hour." William Blake
A Storm is brewing in the North-West,
and as Darkness approaches, I am soon
pelted with hail and engulfed in chaos.
Loud booms of thunder, shake, rattle
and roll across the distant hills of the
valley, heralding flashes of lightening.
I can barely see out of the windshield
of my vehicle, with wipers on high.
Navigating muddy fields to rescue
my elder Brother's Dog, I zoom home,
rain-drenched, to re-assure my own.
Checking on Mom and e-mailing Son,
I access internet for weather update
then browse Face Book and Twitter.
No volcanic activity or earthquaking
shifts, to cause any more concern.
Lighting a candle, I pray protection
for Mother Earth and all living beings,
trusting we'll grow strong and resilient.
True to the resonant nature of prayer,
the vibration of healing energy is raised
by Spirit Sisters who virtually join me.
We visualize Loved Ones and the World
embraced in a sacred Healing Light.
Intensity subsides, as the Goddess of
Wind redirects the Storm, leaving us
bathed in mystical peace and quiet.
Feeling my Heart open with waves
of compassion, I receive inspiration
from a dear Unity Minister friend.
Preparing for Sunday Service, they
write about the power of Nature:
"My earliest experiences of Spiritual
Insight occurred in the Sanctuary of a
Natural World. Long before I found the
Divine in worship and meditative practice,
I encountered the Sacred in the harmony
and the peaceful milieu of a quiet Creek
that ran beyond my Childhood Home."

I smile, as I recall the many seeds
of intention prayed together daily
before work, at our Unity Church.
Firm in our support for each other,
we now walk our own Spiritual Paths,
aware of the "Illusions of Separation."
Offering gratitude, my inner-Ethical
Minister accepts this sacred gift
of evolving Spiritual Friendship.
As Personal and Global Awareness
continues to awaken, we have the
courage to clearly speak the truth.
May we emerge stronger and more
resilient after facing inner-Demons,
and resolving all forms of duality.
May our outer and inner- Families,
joyfully dance in service to Peace.
"As we give sway to an intuitive awareness
that recognizes the Sacred all around us,
we are doing, perhaps all we can do, to
heal our relationship with Mother Earth.
With a renewed sense of appreciation,
and love, we will find all the right
ways to bless, and to serve, this
hallowed land, Earth, our Home. "
