"Sometimes Prayer is the best Medicine."
" Maat, Egyptian Goddess of Truth, Law,and Justice, invites us to become the
Silent Witness /Observer, to use wise
discernment,before making Life Choices;
For it's in moments of Clarity, that we see
through the veils of Illusion, delusion,
and Deception / Self- Deception."
"Maat, is known to preside over the
Judgment of the Dead, placing her Self
or a Feather, in Divine Scales opposite
the Heart of the Deceased, to test its
honesty and its truthful intentions."
A. Arrien
Maat, makes herself know in my
life processes, most recently in the
form of a slow drifting Owl Feather.
Examining its soft, delicate stripes,
I hold the Owl Feather to my Heart,
and release attachment to the Past.
Emerging from an 8 year initiation
traversing the 'Valley of Death',
I take a breath and still my Mind.
Grieving the loss of my First Love,
some Uncles, Cousins, Friends and
Canine Companions has been brutal.
Enduring the transitions of so many
loved ones, strengthens one's faith
and tests the fabric of one's resolve.
Being a living, breathing, conduit for
Divine Justice within each moment,
requires great personal discipline.
Embodying objectivity, as buttons
are pushed, is a true Sacred Practice
that challenges the Heart's Resilience.
Courageously, we can face our Shadows,
with a firm grip, compassionate hands
reining in our Feelings and Emotions.
Discerning fantasy, wishful thinking
from reality, we learn the limits of
what we can do and what we can't.
We know what we can handle and
realize when to surrender things
to God/ess, Divine Guidance.
Honoring this Wisdom, allows us to
fulfill our Personal and Professional
commitments, to walk a Sacred Path.
Walking, talking, singing, dancing, etc.,
we remain grounded, mindful, using
practical skills to attain our goals.
" Uniting Thought, Emotion and Feeling,
with clear intention, our World mirrors
the effect of our Heartfelt Prayers.
