for the Chinese & Aztecs, Groundhog's
Day, and the Celtic Feast Day for Brigit.

Wise Old Crone is purified & re-born 2/13
as the Archetypal Virgin. Creative Seeds
now incubate within her Mythic Womb in
Females & the inner-Female of Men.

Valentine's Day is an important re-set
point for me. For example, one year
in the '80's, on 2/14, New Horizon's
Children's House, transformed into a
farm-school for kids w/ goats & chickens,
cats, dogs, doves, quail, rabbits, peacocks.

In the 90's, Inner Peace Healing, my consulting
practice moved into to a new beautiful office
space on 2/14. This year on Valentine's Day,
a spontaneous re-union w/a very dear Spirit
Sister was celebrated, initiating a healing,
Movement Medicine class, in her studio.

A cycle that united us in a shared
ceremony of marriage w/our now
x-husbands, on sacred land dubbed
Camelot, in 1976, unites us again for
creative collaboration & social service.

Challenges we've endured walking unique
solitary Spiritual Paths, have transformed
us into strong, independent, Wise Crones,
who now regenerate our inner-Virgins for
another sacred round of life initiations.
We are blessed to be joined by other
amazing, wise, creative women w/a
healthy desire for self-exploration.

The World now requires us to balance
inner- Male& Female qualities, daily.

Childhood unfolds after Birth. We endure
Puberty, explore Adulthood, become Elders.
Details of this natural process are personal.
What we value, is our precious memories.

While Birth remains vague for most of us,
we recall vivid recollections of Childhood,
Mom/Dad/Siblings & challenges of Puberty.
We remember 1st Love /1st Job, 1st Home,
Pets /Lovers /Weddings /Divorces /Kids.

Parenthood shifts our Center of Gravity,
as we focus on our Children's well being.
Keen intuition signals when it is time to
gather many years of expanding energy
back to Center of Self, while remaining
vigilant for our loved ones. Life's a dance,
that requires us to embody a Heartbeat.

Moving into Elderhood, we become
acutely aware of the fleeting quality
of cycles / rhythms / seasons /time.
Breath and energy become precious
commodities in need of appreciation.
Rest is now valued, as is Peace/Quiet.
We listen more intently to the song of
Mother Nature /Spiritual Guidance.
We think globally, act locally, consider
long term effects, before taking action.

Graceful intention /attention, transforms
our mistakes, traumas, betrayals. Connecting
memories w/ golden threads of understanding,
our perceptions clear. With Divine Guidance,
inner-strength is mirrored in outer reality.
We understand that the greatest Teachers:
" Lead by Following / Teach by Example."

Jesus came here to show us how vast
is the Spirit of the Divine within us.

Buddha sat, then touched the Ground
with the wisdom of non-permanence.

Martin Luther reminded us to Dream.

John Lennon lived and died, chanting
the beliefs, "All We Need Is Love" and
"Give Peace A Chance." All abide within.

The uncertainty of the length and breath of
our Destiny here on Earth, keeps us humble.
It reminds us to appreciate the small things
& to hug those we love, authentically, often.
Awareness helps us express a Life Story.

My beloved Father's unexpected passing
in 2006, was a wake up call for my family.
We softened our judgments, increased
eye contact and grew closer for awhile,
much like the survivors of 911 attacks.

5 years later, as Mom approaches her
80th birth cycle, a deserving Hallmark,
we seem scattered w/Winds of Time.
Hopefully, it will not take another crisis
for us to awaken from our daily trances,
to see & appreciate the miracle of family.

As I approach my own 60th Gateway
into Elderhood this Spring, I feel myself
re-centering within my Mystic Artist Soul.
Roots of personal truth, run deeper thru the
Sacred Ground of my uniqueness of Being.

Passionate inspiration, expansion of breath,
rhythms of action and rest, set the tone for our
direction of movement on our Spiritual Path.
Living responsively rather than in reaction
to what others perceive of us, is freeing.

As we near the end of significant cycles,
on our chosen Path, we reflect on lessons,
and embody a personal stance in the World
with true resilience, dignity & compassion.

As Emissaries of Truth, we contemplate the

to Gaia, the Earth Mother. We become the Aeon
balancing aspects within us, which are eternal.
We stand confidently within our Life Circle,
non-attached to past, present or future.

Embodying Love with Honor, we quicken
healing processes in service to Humanity.

upon judgment and criticism. Aligning

and determination, increases our energetic
bank accounts, allowing giving to be effortless.

During the Solstice Season / Winter Holidays,
Darkness envelopes us in the late afternoon.
Christmas lights appear sparkle & excite
the inner-Child within us, inspiring Faith.

TV Stations begin to broadcast wonderful
Christmas movies with timeless story-lines,
ordinary people / initiating life challenges.
With a bit of Magic, the ordinary become
extraordinary Heroes / Heroines feeling
a bit lost & trying to find their way Home.

Like the Star of Hope that guided the
Three Wise Men on their journey, Light
may appear in angelic, human or animal
forms sent to Earth by God/ess. Their loving
guidance brings clarity / illuminates choices.
Possibilities are animated with happy endings.

The Star of Hope, in whatever form it appears,
reveals a Divine Third Point of awareness that
awakens consciousness to new perspectives of
what seem to be impossibly hard situations.
An outcome we never dreamed of results.

We, as Heroes / Heroines may experience
Awakenings of Spirit / after unexpected,
Divine Interventions, as synchronicities.

When we surrender Ego to Divine Will, we
are transformed / re-born, like the Christ.

Grounding the Light of Truth, infuses us
with renewed confidence to take action,
when prior, we were paralyzed w/Fear.

Love's resilience, shows us new ways to
ground & creatively express who we are.

As beacons of truth, hope & endurance,
we see the Light, then embody the loving
Light of compassion, acceptance & Peace.

As we emerge from the Lunar Eclipse on
12/21/10, when veils between Worlds are thin,

16. ........Resilient Reconstruction / ....................Towering Vortex

Powerful Natural Forces, Disasters, Accidents,
Unexpected Trauma / Illness, Theft / Vandalism,
etc., re-focus our attention on immediate priorities.
They threaten old, conditioned, belief structures &
challenge us to rise up to the occasion, respond with
Love, participation, grace & dignity or react in Fear.

Recovering after traumatic "Storms" in our lives, requires
perserverance, time, compassion, patience and great focus
on the presenting issues at hand. We walk through the rubble
one foot in front of the other, aware of the Star of Hope and
the promise of tomorrow's Sunrise. We look into the eyes
of our personal and collective Shadow, endure & evolve.

Recently, while responding to a job opportunity
& also supporting a friend at a Spiritual Conference
in Pacific Grove, the brakes went out in my truck.
Gratitude to the Angels, who awakened me while
approaching a busy intersection, to the shocking
awareness that I could not stop. Pumping the
pedal, eventually brought the vehicle to a
stop just in time to prevent a collision. I felt
protected and guided to park at my cousin's home,
to assess the situation and call AAA for assistance.

All plans for the weekend, were now put
on hold. Forces beyond my control were now
requiring me to focus on the situation at hand, to
gather my resources, create a new plan of action.
The stress of this challenge intensified when I was
unable to reach any of my emergency contacts.
Terror welled up inside of me, as I came face to
face with Shadow's feelings of dis-connection.
I had to hold it together & decide what to do.

Surrendering to the process, I was graced by the
presence of Angelic Beings in the form of not only
the Tow Truck Driver, but an old Friend I met up
with at the conference, who I hadn't seen in
many years. She was traveling with mutual
friend of ours. Both lent emotional support.

The man behind the counter at "Midas", where
the truck was eventually towed, also radiated
as an Angelic Being. Within an hour, I was back
on the road, right in the middle of a Rainstorm
as it was getting Dark. Once again I was alone
and terrified as I could not see the road or
recognize any landmarks. After missing
several exits, I was turned around in the
right direction to tackle Pacheco Pass.

At the very least, I now had new brakes.
Any attempt to drive the vehicle home
without fixing it, would have been fatal,
yet the thought crossed my mind as to not
involve or inconvenience familial others.

I began to contemplate how many other
times I put myself at great risk to show up,
be there, offer emotional support to others.
This realization mirrored to me an old pattern,
that has run its course in my life; a pattern
resulting in me not being there for myself.

Canceling this old ancestral belief system,
that, " I don't deserve to put myself first",
allows me to, after the initial shock of the
experience, begin to re-construct new ways
to remain authentic and present, on purpose.

Sifting through rubble of disappointment, shattered
expectations and denials, I re-organize my chaos,
by finding a creative way to transform myself.

The resilience of my personal re-construction,
allowed me to move forward w/ diligence.

According to the incite of my wise cousin,
" The gift of my New Brakes allows me to
Stop, and change direction confidently,
without relying on inertia and gravity. "

That my truck was towed to "Midas" is
a synchronicity aligning w/ King Midas,
(whose desire for all to turn to Gold) left
him isolated, alone, without true intimacy.
Sometimes impulsively pursuing the alluring
golden fantasy of what we think we want,
manifests challenging, unexpected results.

I pray gratitude for the support of family,
& friends who did show up in my time of need.
Eventually hearing their voices during a traumatic
adventure, grounded me to think & choose wisely.
Gratitude for clear Angelic Guidance as well.

Affected by the gravitational pull of spinning
vortexes of change, invites us to re-assess the
importance of existing priorities & relations. As
Spiritual Warriors, we realize alone-ness
= all-one-ness with all life. And so it is.

I have been told I have no sense of humor, yet
I am learning to laugh at my life's Be-Devilments.

Walking skillfully through Temptations and
entrapments, inner-enchanted forests and
outer familial mind-fields, requires daily,
conscious, breathing / movement practice.

Surveying my morning's landscape before
sitting down for meditation and chakra yoga,
I ground my inner-serpent, while acknowledging
my sacred inner-Phoenix before me, Turtle behind
me, Tiger to the right of me and Dragon to my left.

Bear Woman, awakens the Cougar within my Heart.
Spider Woman weaves caution into her Web, when
she senses Pan's enchanting, indulgent, past patterns
returning. Authentic Creative Passion, unravels
lies we embody, trying to convince ourselves,
the illusions we project onto others, are real.
Sometimes the Devil looks so good in Prada
or Cowboy Hat and faded Denim Blue Jeans,
as he saunters across the dance floor under
a very ripe, apricot, Full Harvest Moon!

Following the Breath, within each experience,
I return to Center w/awareness of Presence.
Snake-like, Kundalini rises w/compassion, as
Religious Waves of conditioned guilt & shame,
arrive for release. Old belief patterns, blocking
the Flow of Right Intention, are surrendered to
Great Spirit for spiritual clearing / transformation.

Maintaining stability, while allowing time and space
for exploring the potency of what attracts & repels
us during changing Season of our lives, is essential.

The awareness that we are primarily responsible
for our own success and happiness, motivates us to
set healthy limits / boundaries w/ friends, family,
lovers, mates, c-workers & social commitments.

Creating Sacred Space for our inner-Male & Female
to embrace, feel supported, pampered & nourished,
strengthens our connection w/ the Great Mother.

Lord Pan reminds us to spend time w/Mother Nature,
to enjoy the sensual, tactile, aspects of being Human.
Learning how to have faith in ourselves & surrendering
to Life's challenges, we learn to stop, listen to intuition
and to allow creative processes to unfold effortlessly.

Keeping pleasure receptors open & attuned to joy,
happiness, wonder, surprise, affection and touch,
delights & stimulates the senses, inspiring vitality.
In a World, moving increasing toward virtual reality,
spending time w/Mother Nature, nourishes Souls.
Discerning between what helps & hurts us, we
learn to trust our Body as an indicator of health,
& the direction we must travel to live on purpose.

Believing that we deserve to love and be loved,
allows us to open our hearts to others & beloveds.

Exploring sensual fabrics, clothing, foods, flowers,
music, re-awakens the ability to enjoy pleasure.
Experience the natural flow of waves of pleasure,
We connect w/ the energy of Pan's inner-Female.
Our inner-Goddess begins to radiate Love & Light,
which magnetizes to us all that our Heart Desires.

Enjoying a warm bath, treating ourselves to our
favorite meal or activity, honors the Divine w/in.
Giving permission to our inner-Child to come out
& play with like-minded creative others in healthy

Chiron / The Wounded Healer

"Accepting the Fate of Ending Cycles, it is time
to cleanse & simplify, daily rituals & surroundings,
for the Archetypal Journey into the Underworld.

The Mythic Character, Chiron is associate with
Scorpio, the experience of Death and Dying.

As Wounded Healers, we prepare to enter our
inner-Caves for healing & grieving what is lost.
Within depths of sacred inner-Wombs, we process
emotions, re-frame shattered fragments of the Past.

With cleansing Breaths, we fan flames of forgiveness.
Communing with Nature, we replenish our Souls within
cool, clear, fluid, healing Waters of Mother Earth."

Several powerful Dreams, spoke to me this morning.
One involved awakening within a Dreamtime where
Heaven & Earth united, allowing me to communicate
with departed Souls from the Hiroshima Bombing.

The other One involved the seduction of a Past Lover
by a Female Spy and his dismemberment by a Dark
Warlord Boss and his Evil Gang. At the end of the
dream, a young Male Child leaps into my arms.

Writing detailed symbology into my Dream Journal,
I discover a common theme relating to the Egyptian
Myth of Isis & Osiris, involving the seduction, death,
dismemberment & resurrection of Osiris / birth of Horus.

"It is said that after gathering the pieces of her
beloved, Isis grows wings, hovers over Osiris &
breathes Life into him, to revive him & conceive
son Horus. Being simultaneously alive & dead,
Osiris became God & King of the Afterlife."

Meditating on this Archetypal Myth, I also see
Isis and Osiris as the integrative dance between
Men's inner-Female and Women's inner-Male,
& our corresponding subconscious Shadow Sides.
Carl Jung describes them as the Anima & Animus,
which function unconsciously as Shadow Archetypes
that play out dramas of the collective unconscious.

In this divine inner-play, King Osiris (Patriarchy)
is deconstructed by a jealous Male Shadow Figure,
reconstructed by a Divine Female Principle, Isis.
We see this playing out all around us at this time,
& within us as well, when we examine ourselves.

Frequently, we allow our suppressed emotions
to tear apart aspects of Self and /or Mate. We
play the blaming game & claim to be victims,
resulting in the current 50% divorce rate.
It's when we turn to Divine Guidance, we
find courage to forgive Self, integrate lessons,
& take responsibility for our own health /happiness.

As a Phoenix Rises from the ashes, Chiron reminds
us to transform skeletons from our ancestral closet.
Pruning the dead weight of unfinished projects,
recycling materials & cleansing the Heart of old,
unhealthy, Relations, our resilient Souls spiral upward
as New Mythos, illuminating Creative Possibilities.

Repeating Patterns and life situations arise

Refusal to acknowledge our Addictive Behaviors,
eventually turns our world upside down, suspending us
in destructive cycles 'til inspired by insight, we choose
to right ourselves with our World /Life Path / Others.

Yesterday, I spent the afternoon cleaning and sorting
Cilantro to add to fresh picked Basil to make Pesto.
When I stepped outside the kitchen door, to place
the clean greens the garage refrigerator, I forgot
that the Golf Cart was parked directly in my Path.

Slamming on my energy brakes, the conlander
slipped off the plate and greens flew into the air,
landing not so gracefully on dog-haired door mat.
I flew into a rage!!! I spent all that time cleaning
those greens with the intention to make Pesto!
Now I had to throw them out and start over!
The Universe was conspiring against me !!!
Was the Golf Cart at fault? or was I reminded
to bring more awareness to what I am doing?

Emotional Triggers are Red Flags, on our field
of awareness, that offer opportunities for time-out,
to see situations / people / events in a new Light.
This does not lessen or negate deep feelings, but
allows for the consideration of intentions of others.

Did the driver of the Golf Cart subconsciously
desire to sabotage my noble culinary efforts?
Not!!! And why the torrential emotional outburst?
Was this really just about spilling cleaned Cilantro?
Or other situations requiring me to slam on brakes,
feel my efforts are sabotaged? interrupted, turned
up-side down, or fruits of my labors come to naught.

Blaming others for exposing lingering old wounds, Judging
them for being wrong or bad for causing our discomfort,
and /or refusing to honor their unique point of view,
perpetuates Addictive Defenses & supports stuckness.
Feelings of being wronged, does not make us right,
as perception is relative to where we are standing,
conditioned frames of reference & past experience.

Bargaining w/ Denial, only perpetuates suffering.
Choosing Addictive unhealthy substances, reactive
behaviors, and dysfunctional relationships, keeps
us stuck in the status quo, offering no alternatives.
It takes courage, faith, trust and determination to
face our sabotaging Shadows / Transform Fear.
The Journey begins w/expressing desire for change.

Shifting perspectives, also allows us to identify and name
patterns of indecision and procrastination, rationalization,
and defensiveness as old modes of communication that no
longer empower us. Naming them allows us to transform
them, to effectively provide us w/what we need & desire.

NVC, Non-Violent Communication techniques work
effectively, when mediating unresolved, repeating,
conflicts w/in Self (inner-Archetypes) & w/Others.
Removing the element of Judgment and Blame,
they allows us to move out of Victim mentality,
and into quantum fields of Self-empowerment.

Inviting Angels / Divine Beings for guidance,
shifts attention out of polarity, into a middle way
of perceiving and being in the world /our reality.
With guidance, we can re-define what seems
to be limitation, w/the Spirit of Innovation.

Shifting from scarcity beliefs & Competition,
into beliefs of abundance & Collaboration allows
us to initiate restoration of balance & harmony within.
Dynamic, healing flows, then expand from our Hearts to
assist w/ the evolving conscious of Spiritual Community.

Listening to each other tell our Story with soft eyes & ears,
we can help each other notice chronic, negative self-talk and
limiting beliefs/postures, that sabotage manifesting Dreams.

As we explore the Dreaming Body (Dreambody/Arnold Mindel)
we are spontaneously led, to the right place and right time to
embrace Mentors to assist us thru transition cycles. As we
encourage each other to explore safe, creative ways to
process challenges / initiations along our Life Path,
we define the integrity of our Soul / Soul Quest.

obsession w/Vampires > Stephenie Meyer’s Novels.
My generations Vamps were Tom Cruise & Brad Pitt!

No matter how romanticized, Vampires represent the
Dark / Lusting / Shadow Side of human nature that
arises within, to be Faced, Acknowledged, Transformed.

Being fascinated w/ cross cultural Mythic Archetypes
in Grad School, I put together a short film using film clips
from other movies, depicting the Hero's/Heroine's Journey.
At key moments in that Soul Quest, the initiate is faced w/
a series of sacred initiations to help them face their FEAR,
learn there are negative consequences for choices made from
EGO, selfishness /greed, lust /sexual obsession, manipulation /
desire for control over others, etc. and positive outcomes that
arise from healthy choice-making, involving intentional acts
of loving kindness, compassion and service to others.

Within each moment of our day, we stand at the
nexus of the Symbolic Cross, that Jesus carried.
Unconsciously oblivious or consciously grounded
in the Center of our Past, Future, Subconscious
& Spiritual Mythos, we create our Heaven or Hell.
At these crossroads, we receive the fruits of our labor
& now a days, Karma seems to return, instantaneous.

As long as we occupy a Physical Body, we cannot out-
run or escape our personal and collective Shadow.
We can however, learn how to channel intense Passion
and desires into Resilient, transforming Creative
Expressions, as in the movie "The Tango Lesson".

Capricorn Full Moon on June 26th with Lunar Eclipse
in my 11th House of Groups. Guidance cautioned me that
a friend / colleague may competitively push my buttons.
This dynamic played itself out, while camping w/6 Women
in Yosemite; (3 Tigers, a Snake, a Cat/Rabbit & Rooster.)
Moonbow over the Falls was magnificent, dis-harmonic
group dynamics, not so much. Yet being true to Self,
naming and expressing my dis-satisfaction and joys,
a transformation occurred on our way home, guiding
us to discover of some ecstatic flowing Cascades.

My inner-Child /Fool burst into spontaneous
laughter, riding the shuttle bus in Yosemite.
Standing barefoot in a cool cascading pool
of healing water, her smile exudes its Joy.

Full Moon / Eclipse / Alignment of 7 Planets
in a Grand Cross, shifts us beyond fear of Bears
entering campsite into profound inner-experience
of the Evolutionary Journey of our Souls. We face
and embrace the gravity of situations & imagine

Vascillation between the desire to withdraw
from Society to live in the Woods near Water
like Thoreau (in a past life) and/or the desire
to engage in creating conscious community with
healing and education, as Dr. Maria Montessori,
seems to be increasing in intensity these days.

Meditating by the River, I plan a trip to
visit an authentic couple, both Ministers,
who following their Dream, recently created
Unity of Davis in the Heart of California. It
has been 9 years since we worked together
creating community at Unity of Modesto.

Morning Meditation before the Service,
deepens as solo acoustic Female Guitarist
begins to strum gentle rhythms & sing.
Male Minister greets the congregation
without his wife this week, as she is in
service in Walnut Creek. (We miss her.)

His relevant message is timely; God/Goddess and
Heaven dwell within us, vs illusion of "if only".
It takes awareness and practice to quiet our
"Mental Chatter", to take a break from time,
& retreat from the 'Noise of the World'.

As we begin to remember that we have
forgotten to do this, the taste of Silence,

After checking on Mom and e-mailing Son,
I hop on virtual wave-length for news &
weather report, Face Book & Twitter
to see what is going on w/volcano,
earthquakes & recent shifts in
Mother Nature's demeanor.

Lighting a candle, I Pray Resilience
for Spirit Sister challenged w/ cancer.
True to the resonant nature of prayer, the
vibrational healing energy is raised by several

Visualizing Loved Ones and the World embraced

Divine Masculine on Earth...Dreams,

High above me circles a Red-tailed Hawk,
whose war cry sounds, as he swoops
down to catch his vulnerable prey.

Nearby, persistent Woodpecker impresses his
Rhythmic Mark of determination onto tree.
Searching burrowed sustenance, his percussive
drilling, adds Staccato to my afternoon song.

Foraging acorns beneath an oak tree,
a bushy tailed, Grey Squirrel Scampers
vertical, as Human footsteps approach.
She is quietly gathering nuts and seeds,
in the preparation for the Winter Cycle.

Expressing a colorful pallet of pink,violet
yellow and green, Spring is in full bloom.

........3. Earth Mother / Medicine Woman

Mothers are some of the most dedicated, loving,
compassionate, Resilient Souls on our Blue Planet.
Their challenge is to Give & Receive Love equally,
understanding Wisdom of knowing when to let go.

I am reminded of the Indian Elder who talks about
not caring what someone does for a living, but
places value on the ability to stay up all night
with sick children or elders & arise renewed
to greet the day with a positive attitude.

Unfortunately, in our culture, many Mothers
are not taught how to replenish their energy.
Over time, after years of care-giving children,
spouses and elders, they burn out and become
resentful, angry, bitter, judgmental and critical.
As their children grow, they grasp, can't let go.

These are the negative aspects, of Mothering.
For Adult Children returning home to care for
self-neglected Mothers, life can seem as Hell,
resulting in surrendering Mom to a Care Home.

2. ....Sacred Priestess / Divine Feminine Muse

Bare Feet in Sand, stalking through tall reeds,
I find myself a Sacred Space near some Cattails.
My inner Child-Fool knows this place well, as it was
my favorite hiding place, as a Country School Girl.
The energy of this hallowed ground calls to me just
after the fields are flood irrigated, when graphite
patterns in the sand are still fresh/untouched.
Akin to how other Sensitives read tea leaves,
Mother Nature, as Divine Feminine Muse,
reveals her secrets, via patterns in Sand.

Early in my youth, it was abundantly clear to me
how different I was from other Children and Adults:
"I acknowledge and embraced my psychic abilities."

Akin to Lotus Flowers, I root in Water, ground in Mud.
"Native American Indians knew that finding Cattails,
growing plentifully in ditches, marshes, swamps,
was a sure sign of finding water. They utilized
every part of the plant for its nutritional,
medicinal value & for creative purposes.
The dried leaves were twisted into Dolls
much like today's corn-husk dolls /animals.
They were also used to thatch roofs, weave
baskets, backs of chairs, and to make mats."

During a sacred Spring Equinox Birthday
Ceremony / Celebration, I was gifted with
a wild gray haired, potato faced "Crone Doll".
A Spirit Sister asks me what I want the Crone
to take away & I said "Her". I wanted to toss
her into the River, because she was so akin
to my Mother's crazed disapproving gaze.

Reading about Native American Dolls,
incubates insight that "She" is "Me", who
I so quickly dismiss with cruel judgment,
so I love / embrace & integrate her now.

As beautiful as the Sacred Priestess is in
youth, she eventually ages. During Menopause,
She becomes shape shifting Wise Crone Oracle,
who travels between Waking/Dream Worlds.

It is no co-incidence that Grandsons gifted me
a Grandmother Teddy Bear, sitting in a rocking
chair for my Birthday. As sacred Oracle of Delphi,
she sits upon regal rocking chair throne. Adorned
w/ ceremonial dress, glasses, hat & pearls, shawl,
her arms are outstretched, reaching to Heaven.
"This is you Nana!", they shared w/excitement,
offering me a precious plastic pearl necklace.

As you can guess, time stopped in that lucid
moment, as all resistance to Flow in my stern,
serious Heart slowly, deliciously melted away.

On Eve of Spring Equinox & my Birthday
I recall the reflection of glowing Father Sun,
rising in my review mirror, as I drove to work
yesterday morning. A Night Owl, it has been
quite awhile, since I have seen a Sunrise.

The Brilliance of this gift, inspires me to
pull off highway to take photo, but my camera's
batteries are depleted, like mine, after 3 days
of substitute teaching 2nd and 4th graders.

Re-energized by the Light from the Rising Sun,
my inner-Magician stirs the Mystical Cauldron
of the Unknown, while noticing an increase
in synchronicity. Pennies, Hummingbirds
& Red Lady Bugs show up in random places.
Cats, Rabbits, Ducks & Herons speak to me.
Numbers re-cycle: 8, 1:11, 11:11, 3:33, 12:12.

Life yesterday & Now, is dancing with vitality.
Mother Nature weaves together a symphony of
dissonant and harmonic sounds; Doves coo, Dogs
bark, Woodpeckers drill, Fire Engine sirens roar.
The River Goddess Flows. Her music synthesizes
laughter, Train Whistles, panting Joggers, Bikers,
Silence, Breath & Church Bells. All sing with Life.

Somatic Wisdom lives w/in our muscular memory.
It can be accessed any time. The test of mastery
is how well we walk our talk/apply knowledge.
Turning 59 tomorrow, I realize the more I know,
the less I know. Admitting this, opens doors

Embodying courage to Face Light and Shadow,
requires the quieting of the inner- Child/Fool's
Dreaming Monkey Mind. Listening to/learning
from the Wisdom of our inner-Magician /Sage,
teaches us to observe, understand & utilize the
elements/ the essential building blocks of Life:
Water/ Wood/ Fire/ Earth/ Air-Metal-Crystal.

Young Children, Animals & Zen Masters, have

an ability to Live fully Present in the Moment.

Have you ever observed Children deep in play?
One moment they are running around laughing,
singing, shouting, dancing. The next moment,
they are angry with another, tattling & crying.
Young emotions/feelings, are expressed quick
as they arise, now, then surrendered to Spirit.

Spinning round and round as Sufi Dancers,
spontaneously they flop bare bellies on grass,
rolling over, until surrendering to stillness.

Attuned w/ Rhythmic Breath, little Seers,
Observe Sun, Sea, Earth, Wind and Clouds.
Allowing creative imagination to run wild,
they leap up, in quest of new adventure,
chasing elusive kitties, a puppy, dragonfly,
blue bird or fluttering butterfly. Loving a
great mystery, they court the unexpected,
and still believe in spontaneous miracles.

( This is especially true of young children age
0-7, before parental conditioning, class, race,
religion, peer-influence and social systems. )

Fearless on monkey bars and jungle gyms,
they love to swing, higher & higher, then
let go, trusting Air to help them fly and/or
to make a great splash in sparkling Water.

Dare-Devils on skateboards & snowboards,
popping wheelies on bikes, they bravely
push the limits of time / space / gravity
to conquer new unexplored territories,
challenging other, testing Faith in Self.

This Winter, Humanity has been touched
by stories of Young Olympians who risk
injury, repeatedly "Dance with Death", to
excel in their sport & to set new Records.

The Resilience of their Spirits shines as
they grab the gold, silver bronze and/or
courageously recover from failure /falls.
We stand as Sacred Witnesses to their
memorable individual / team Victories.

Practicing Zen Mind / Beginner's Mind,
allows us to see the World / Life / Living
w/ "soft eyes" of compassionate awareness.
Our inner-Zen Master becomes inspired to

Power-walking a familiar, River Path,
after a downpour of Rain, I'm intrigued
by the clear Reflection of Trees, Blue Sky
& White Clouds in puddle blocking my way.

Like Alice in Wonderland, I 'm mesmerized
by Illusion, I loose my sense of Time/Space,
Purpose & Direction. Surreal, I muse, reaching
for my camera, which returns me to Reality.

This as a Metaphor, for how easily I allow
Reflections of the Mystery of Life, to seduce
/distract me from Dharma of my Life Path.

Returning home, I process the photographs.
Digital Reflections along the Path, help me
realize that it is possible to stop and admire
Life's Mystery, while remaining fully present
with my Self and Connections with Others.

Enduring Stories, are akin to River Goddess's
Currents, in that they keep moving when they
encounter Blockages. Great Story Lines rise
and fall with Heroic Breath, fill us up to flow
over, under and around Ricks / Fallen Trees
blocking the Flow of our sacred inner-Rivers.

What traumas (inner-Fallen Trees) have you
transfixed on Loss / Stuck-ness, rather than
re-framing, adapting to change? Is the Fallen
Tree a metaphorical Bridge to understanding
yourself / others, and the way you Live Life?

Observe what/who depletes /energizes you.
Do you lay yourself down, for others to cross
to the other side, become stuck in role of
Victim / Fallen Tree? Become resentful?

What/Who, helps regenerate/support you?
Who comforts your inner-Child? How well
do you embody /root /express /move your
Center of Being? Are you Devoted to the
nurturing of inner-Flames of Resilience?
Presence? Rhythm? Breath? Love? Peace?

Give yourself permission to Move out of
habitual routines / comfort-zones. When
is the last time you belly laughed? Were
silly / spontaneous / excited / inspired?

Creative Imagination of inner-Child / Fool,
= the Re-silencing Mind = Resilience of Soul,
illumination Questing for what supports Life.

Vision, Creative Wisdom blooms Organically.

Old Paradigms dissolve around us, ushering
in higher vibrations & forms of Life / Living.

Awakening from Addictive Trances no matter
how pleasurable they are, takes courage, yet
without risk, there's no possible Soul Growth.

During Personal/Planetary transformation /
evolution of consciousness, we can become
entrenched in seriousness or call upon our
inner-Child / Fool to shake up reality and
inspire Humanity to shine its Resilience.

Light is Sparkling across the flowing Face
of a meandering River Goddess. Mesmerized
by the presence of Mystical Dancing Sprites,
I am filled with Joy. As Lady River flows, an
inner-voice whispers the word Resilience.

Arriving home, I Google the Word Resilient,
recognizing the word (Re-Silent) within it.
Amused by the concept of re-silencing or
becoming re-silent, I discover it's meaning:
"The ability to recover from Loss, Trauma,
and /or Crisis".(I include Death & Divorce.)

The images of the Survivors of the Tsunami,
of Katrina and now the Earthquake in Haiti,
flash across my lucid conscious awareness.
I am in awe of the Resilience of the Human
Spirit. The unwavering Faith and courage
abiding deep within these Resilient Hearts,
inspires Souls of All who hear their Stories.

Survivors of these personal Initiations, speak
of their passage through "The Valley of Death"
traversing the "Dark Night of the Soul", & the
horror of bearing witness to the Devastation
of Families, Homes, Churches, Jobs, Worlds.
Divine Spirit awakens within them, a belief
in something greater, so they embrace Hope,
as Angels fan the flames of their Heart-fires.

Prayers of a Nurse humbled to Song, transform
the screams of so many wounded & unattended.
I bow with humility,honoring her ability to Trust
her instincts, to do what must be done in the
present moment, with what is available to her.

The shouts of a Young Boy being lifted from the
rubble into the Light of Day, proclaims victory
over Death, silencing me, over & over again.
As Holy Witness, I am Re-silenced, changed.

Emerging from my own Healing Caccoon,
after 8 years of Caregiving Myself & Family,
I touch & embrace my own Resilient Heart.
Sending Loving, Healing Blessings into the
World, I continue to ask, "How can I help"?
